About 16 years ago, a colleague convinced me to sub for her Ultimate team in the OCUA Women’s League.  At the time, I had never heard of Ultimate before, but I was immediately hooked and have been chasing plastic ever since.  My ultimate resume includes playing and/or captaining teams from rec to competitive, in both women and mixed categories, and I play all year round as much as possible. Most recently, I was the assistant coach for the Carleton University Women’s Ultimate team.  I basically carry a disc with me wherever I go.  I am passionate about our sport and our organization. I have served on the OCUA Board of Directors for the past year.  In that capacity, I have had several roles.  The most significant of those roles has been being the Board Representative and Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.  I have worked hard to ensure that EDI is always a consideration during Board discussions before any decisions are made.  As a Director going forward, I will continue championing this approach to help make OCUA more inclusive.  I am also serving on the Ultimate Canada EDI Committee until 2023 and will be joining the coordination team for the OCUA Women’s League this summer.  I look forward to seeing you on the field this summer!
