Nominations 2024

The Ottawa-Carleton Ultimate Association (OCUA) Board of Directors is seeking qualified volunteers to fill three vacancies for a term of two years of service. Directorships will begin the day after the Annual General Meeting, Tuesday April 30, 2024.
 
The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, governance, establishes policy, oversees the operations and financial performance of OCUA. Serving on the Board of Directors will provide you with an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to OCUA and its mission. If you are interested in standing for the OCUA Board of Directions please review the NOMINATIONS INFORMATION PACKAGE.
 
The Nominations Committee is particularly interested in candidates with knowledge / expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Strategy and Long Term Planning
  • Legal, Governance, Policy
  • Zoning, Property Management
  • Communications
  • Risk Management
  • Human Resources
  • Grants, strategic partnerships

Candidates Nominated by the Nominations Committee

Candidates nominated by the nominations committee will be designated “Nominated by the Nominations Committee" in the Association's published election material. The nominations committee finalized its nominations on March 15, 2024, no later than 45 days before the date of the Annual General Meeting.

The 2024 Candidates Nominated by the Nominations Committee are:

  • Leona Campbell
  • Kelly Fulton
  • Yang Xu

Nominations from the Membership

The Nominations from the Membership period is closed. Nominations from the Membership can be submitted online until Sunday March 31, 2024 by obtaining signatures* of 25 Members of the Associations supporting your candidacy and completing the nomination form.

*Full names and e-mail addresses will be accepted in lieu of physical signatures. The Nominations Committee may contact your sponsors to validate the nomination. For more information, please contact nominations@ocua.ca.
