FR'EQUINOX CO-ED TOURNEY:

In keeping with the Ultimate co-ed spirit set forth by other
tournaments, Ottawa Ultimate would like to present the fabulous
fall festival of foolishness, fun, frivolity and frisbee known
only as the Fr'Equinox.

The 4-3 co-ed Fr'equinox tournament will be held on September
18-19, 1999, at the Sod Farm. This is the closest week-end to
the Fall Equinox - the time of the pagan harvest festival, the
time of the witch's thanksgiving, and the time to find balance
in your life as Ultimate wanes with the waxing night in the
continuing cycle of life so fittingly embodied by the disc we
hold so dear.

Most importantly the Fr'equinox party will involve an open
stage for a display of all Ultimate talent (sorry, no gong,
and hopefully no fish in a blender). There will also be
something called 'Guts Karaoke' with rules to be explained
later.

Fees are $200, plus a food hamper for the Food Bank. If you're

NATIONALS OPEN AND WOMEN'S FINALS VIDEO:

Hey Folks!

Many of you expressed an interest in getting your hands on a
copy of the Nationals Open and Women's finals that Rogers taped
on the 22nd. Unfortunately, those of you in Ottawa who thought
you might get away with setting your VCR may be disappointed
as Rogers will have to edit the games (likely the women's,
sorry ladies) to make both fit into a three hour time slot.
But, if you purchase a copy, you will get both games in their
entirety.

A copy of both finals will be available for $20, plus $4.50
shipping if you live outside of Ottawa. If you live in Ottawa,
I will make arrangements to get it to you. (Prices include the
government's take.)

I would say allow 4-8 weeks for delivery as I won't be ordering
until I have most of the cash, but I'll let you all know when
to expect them.

If you live outside of Ottawa, please call your local Rogers
and tell them you would like to see the XIII Canadian National
Ultimate Championships that were taped August 22, and will be
broadcast in Ottawa September 18 at 2pm.

I'm looking for a third roommate for Sept 1 (or 15) for 173
Guigues, which is one street north of St. Patrick, east of
Dalhousie, and just a few steps from the Market. The street
is quiet, the house is right across from a community center,
and it's quite roomy and bright, with wood floors but not
hardwood. Vanessa and I are both moving to Ottawa for work
(her at a geological museum, me at Amnesty International) and
will be in the house for at least a year. She is a great cook
(!), and we both are quite active + like the outdoors. Rent
is $420 + utilities, and parking is available free. There's
also plenty of storage space in the house.
