The voting deadline is fast approaching. (this week-end). All Monday and Tuesday teams should have voted (but many haven't yet; see list below). Wednesday and Women's (Thursday) teams may still vote during their respective play-off days this week- end (Sat & Sun) but I would encourage ALL teams to vote electronically (E-vote) beforehand since this has proven to be quite effective. There is only ONE VOTE PER TEAM (not one per player). I would ask team captains to solicit their team's input and to send their final choices to S_Suys@hotmail.com. Please select [up to] FOUR amongst the following candidates: Butler, Kathy (nee Connelly) Lange, Ken Murphy, Deb Pegg, Larry Rathburn, Jeff Seabrook, Steve Tahirali, Doug Webb, Jack Given the high likelihood that some teams wishing to cast their vote during this week-end's playoff will either forget or be unable to do so, the E-vote deadline has been EXTENDED BY ONE DAY UNTIL 6:00PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 13th to allow those people to vote electronically on Monday. NO VOTES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 6:00PM on MONDAY Sept 13th. If you have any questions, please feel free to forward them on to S_Suys@hotmail.com. The 4-3 co-ed Fr'equinox tournament will be held on September 18-19, 1999, at the Sod Farm. This is the closest week-end to the Fall Equinox - the time of the pagan harvest festival, the time of the witch's thanksgiving, and the time to find balance in your life as Ultimate wanes with the waxing night in the continuing cycle of life so fittingly embodied by the disc we hold so dear. Most importantly the Fr'equinox party will involve an open stage for a display of all Ultimate talent (sorry, no gong, and hopefully no fish in a blender). There will also be something called 'Guts Karaoke' with rules to be explained later. Fees are $200, plus a food hamper for the Food Bank. If you're interested, please contact Deb Murphy (deborah.murphy@ec.gc.ca, 613-567-3150) or Doug Tahirali (dougtah@achilles.net, 613-231-4662). ************************************************************ 2ND ANNUAL OTTAWA 'PLAID JACKET' OPEN DISC GOLF TOURNEY: October 2-3, 1999 Jacques Cartier Park, Hull Saturday, October 2nd 9:00 am - Women's Division, 18 holes (golf discs allowed) 1:00 pm - Ultrastar Division, 18 holes (Ultrastar only) Sunday, October 3rd 10:00 am - Open Division, 36 holes (golf discs allowed) Cost: $15/division Your registration fee includes play in one division, prizes, water, fruit, and food including a BBQ!!!
