OCUA SPRING FIELD POLICY

OCUA would like to remind people to stay off of league
fields until the beginning of league play. This is necessary
to allow the fields the proper time to dry.

To help with the 'spring fever' that some people might feel,
OCUA has arranged pickup times on the University of Ottawa's
new field. For more information, see below.

HOW YOU CAN HELP ULTIMATE IN OTTAWA

The city is looking to fill up to six positions on the Parks
and Recreation Advisory Committee. It's a one, two, or three
year term, with meetings approximately once a month, in the
evenings. The city will even help cover childcare, parking,
bus fares and mileage to get you to the meeting.

The terms of reference for this committee are here:
http://city.ottawa.on.ca/city_council/advisory_comtt/parks_en.shtml

This is a great opportunity to help get more support for
Ultimate from the city, and it is only one evening a month
(about 4 hours). Don't just assume that someone on our
overworked board will step up and do this... get involved!

To apply, you need to submit a letter of application -
indicating the committee you would like to serve, an outline
of your qualifications, and your home address by Friday,
April 12 at 4:30pm to:

Stephani Roy, Supervisor
Advisory Committees and Boards
City of Ottawa,
110 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa, ON
K1P 1J1

Fax: 580-2423
Email: committees@city.ottawa.on.ca

10TH ANNUAL ANGEL BALL

It takes place every Spring at the Government Conference
Centre (across from the Chateau) and is a total blast. The
Angel Ball is going ahead this year on April 27, 2002 and
your attendance would be greatly appreciated. Although later
this year, it is going to be a great event! We've taken the
extra time to create some new and exciting experiences this
year-you won't want to miss it. This year we are having a
Martini lounge with Lance Baptiste spinning acid Jazz, an
ice bar and luge run, a zen lounge, a live band, and the
main dance floor which will have a 3 massive video screens
(and for those of you who were their last year, this year we
will have a play list for the d-jay!).

In its 10th year, the Fund for a New Generation's Angel Ball
raises funds for the local OCRI School Breakfast Program,
feeding hungry kids throughout the Ottawa-Carleton Region.
Your continued support helps kids in your neighbourhood
start the day out right. Last year we had over 800 people at
the Government Conference centre and raised over $75 000 for
kids breakfasts in Ottawa. For more information on the Fund
for a New Generation, the Gala, and where to get tickets,
please visit our website at http://www.ottawagala.com, call
our Information Line at 262-GALA or get in touch with me.

If you have any questions that aren't answered on the
website, please feel free to give me a call or send me an e-
mail: at 238-7858 x244 or dbrook@ppforum.ca

Thanks,

David Brook
Co-Chair, The Organizing Committee for the 10th Annual Angel
Ball
