It is the Spirit 2003 Charity Ultimate Tournament. The Spirit 2003 Ultimate Charity Tournament was created to raise funds for five local mental health charities and to increase awareness and sensitization about mental health conditions and the people they affect. It is an all day event being held on September 13, 2003 at the Nepean Equestrian Park. There are some great bonuses as well...free lunch, great entertainment, 3 to 4 games, a beer tent etc. There are even prizes for teams with the most pledges and other incentive prizes up for grabs. This is the first year of this event which has been organized to become what the HOPE beach volleyball event has become for beach volleyball but for ultimate instead. OCUA has been working hard over the past year with this organizing committee as the event's community partner and we hope that you will encourage your teams to sign up and show your support for this worthwhile event. You can register online at: - www.catchthespirit.ca Or pick up a team registration package at: - the Ultimate Disc Golf Store at 142 Rideau Street (in CD Exchange) - any Scotiabank - all OCUA events this summer. Register before August 13! Come on out and enjoy the fun! Thanks in advance for your support, Robin Kealey OCUA Director communications@ocua.ca ************************************************************ THE ULTIMATE CARD Want to help support Canadian Ultimate? Sign up for The Ultimate Card. Both types of cards, platinum and preferred, carry no annual fee, but when an Ultimate player signs up, and is accepted for the card, a portion of their net purchase amount will be sent back to their respective League's administration. Their League will then decide, we hope with their members input, how that money will be used. The result: cardholders will be helping to build, and to support, the Ultimate community. What better way to increase revenues for your League than to use The Ultimate card not only on regular, everyday purchases, but also on purchases from Ultimate related companies and others. We hope that you will explore this exciting fund-raising program. For more information, as well as an online application, please visit www.theultimatecard.ca ************************************************************ OCUA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES OCUA is run by volunteers.
