INDOOR BUBBLE LEAGUE:

(Editor's Note: The following is not an OCUA league, but it
is another chance to play Ultimate indoors over the winter.)

Fellow Players,

I literally stumbled across a good old friend last week who
has rented the Lansdowne Bubble (East Endzone) for the winter.
I offered to help him to try and find groups that might be
interested in playing indoor sports like Ultimate, soccer etc.
The available times are excellent; all day and night Friday,
Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The price is great too. The current
indoor leagues are paying 50% more/hour than this facility.
Another benefit is that the ceiling is higher for those big
fat hucks and hammers.

I am keen to get your feedback on this whole idea. Some of my
thoughts are as follows; A) Calibre groupings a,b,c and higher
end masters. We could even invite summer league teams to play
in a tune up division. B) Hat league C) Start the league play
first week in January until March. D) One or two tournaments
with the following format : Friday night. Saturday day - Saturday
night (Party) - Sunday finals. E) Friday night 7 PM- Midnight
bar league.

Personally, I am motivated to have a format that allows family
types like me (and I'm sure many others) to participate at
decent times at an affordable price. I think the main thing
is to keep it cool and fun, with a bit of party time too. The
flexibility in scheduling is the biggest draw for me.

I hope you'll agree that there is a great opportunity to expand
Indoor Ultimate and also stake claim to some Prime Times and
at a great price for years to come.

Sunday pick up

It's on again this Sunday, Dec. 20. This time will be a pass
the hat around contributuion event (roughly $10). 11 am to 2
pm or longer if people would like to reserve. The turn out
should be high so reserviving a time for a group of players
might be a good idea (anytime all day/evening). Again, for
those of you that didn't get out last Sunday, it's a good
opportunity to get the feel for the place. Refreshments
welcome. Containers must be brought home.

If it's snowing, I may not make it due to my snow removal
business. You are welcome to come anyways. Hope to see you
there.

Is someone interested in collecting the dues if I don't make it?

Ten keeners made it this past Monday for pick up. It is on
again this Monday. Dec. 21. Contributions are expected ($10
per). I missed collecting from 3 people. Can you bring something
