We want to hear from as many people as possible though, so if you haven't filled it out yet, don't delay! :) In the meantime, we've already started looking at some of the results, most notably the comments, which have been very informative. There have been a couple of questions raised though these comments, two of which I'd like to address immediately, since I think they are valuable for all: -------------- Q: Will you be publishing the results on the website? A: To be honest, this hadn't really occurred to me (or the rest of the board, I don't think), but it sounds like a good idea. Our number 1 priority, of course, is to evaluate the data in as soon as possible in hopes of bringing about some changes for this season. Once that is completed, however, I think publishing at least some summarised results would be a good plan, and we will see what we can do in that area. -------------- Q: What about those members without Internet access? A: When we developed the survey and decided to put it on the web, we realised that we would not be reaching a significant portion of our members. About the only possible way to conduct a survey with them would be by mail, however, and due to budget and time constraints, we have no plans to carry out such a project at this time. We realise that this is not entirely satisfactory, however we were of the opinion that feedback from *some* of our members was better than no feedback at all. My only suggestion would be to contact people without Internet access who you feel would want to voice their concerns, and either: help them find a way to get on the net for a few hours to fill out the survey, or print out the survey and have them fill in a hard copy, which they could then mail to me: Ken Lange 52B Chesterton Drive Nepean, ON K2E 5S9 I much prefer the former of those two options, as receiving the data via the form makes compilation and analysis much easier, but we want to make sure everyone has a vehicle for providing their input, so I will certainly accept any hard copies of the survey that I receive. There have also been lots of comments with respect to the survey layout and it's format, all of which are appreciated. Given that this is a first time thing with us, we are learning a lot as we go, and your comments in this area have been extremely valuable. Changes will not be made to the current survey due to logistics and to keep data consistent, but your advice will help make future surveys better, so keep it coming! Cheers! So, here are some clarification's regarding the contest: 1. We are looking for TWO separate designs - a corporate logo for OCUA, and a design for this year's OCUA discs. You can submit designs for one or the other, or both - that's your choice. 2. The "Design Checklist" and "Types of Paper" sections in last week's announcement in Ultimate Happenings are guidelines which Discraft issues for disc designs. As such, these guidelines apply only to the disc design, and NOT the corporate logo. 3. COLOURS: The disc design should be 2 colours, while the Corporate Logo design has no colour restrictions. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me.
