Week 9: Prequarterfinals (January 13)
We're off to a good start with the predictions going 4-1 with ballpark accurate score calls. I was the statkeeper in the one game I called wrong, so I really only have myself to blame for not cooking the books. Geofford's lucky coin went 3-2, so I hold the forecasting crown for now. Onward!
Week 10: Quarterfinals (January 20)
Eight teams remain in a bracket that anyone could win. No one looked convincing last week and that's reflected in another suite of tight game calls.
Nevertheless, Laura remains my tournament favourite by a hair over Kate, and I expect both of them to move on tonight in close games (though betting against the Marie-Ange factor makes me nervous). If Gela can adjust to some important absences tonight, I expect her to advance along with Kelsey to round out the semifinal bracket.
The basement game is really too close to call, but I'll give it to Morgan. Although neither team can win the championship at this point, the bracket still allows them to finish as high as 5th. So get out there and fight for it!

Does the algorithm account for the biggest randomizer of all?
The dreaded 10:00 pm game slot and ensuing frisbee chaos of 24 sleep-deprived adults trying (and in my experience, mostly failing) to be coordinated well past their bedtimes?

Coins!
I'm only looking ahead (read: I'm not going back to check on previous results) and my uncalibrated coin flipped results in Gela, Mehmet, Sul, Mikey, and John steering their teams to victory.
I'll also take the over on point differential in every one of Hadrian's predictions.
