I have been playing ultimate since 2009 and have been a member of OCUA as both a recreational and competitive player, as well as a captain, volunteer, and league coordinator. Most recently I played with a women's masters team and in the women's leagues, and volunteered as a coach with the youth program. In my professional life, I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and bring a strong foundation in various aspects of financial management, strategic planning, accounting, and project management. I joined OCUA’s Board in November 2021 and look forward to continuing to provide leadership in these areas, with a focus on long term financial sustainability and organizational growth. I very much value the sense of community that OCUA has provided me, and believe the core values and the gender equity initiatives that were recently introduced are important steps in making our community more welcoming for more people of all ages, abilities and lived experiences. We have more work to do and I am fully committed to the priorities - leadership, stewardship, participation and belonging - set out in the strategic plan.
