The Game of Life

Are you a runner, or you simply like to run? Or is walking more your thing? Are you looking for fun, inexpensive run/walk events? Then you should participate in the Commonwealth Games Canada event: The Game of Life!

The event is a 1k/5k/10km walk/run which starts and ends at Jacques Cartier Park. All entry fees go to support CGC’s grass roots sports programs in other Commonwealth countries- CGC supports social development within commonwealth countries using the transformative power of sport.

Members of OCUA can register for a reduced fee ($25 per participant/min of 5) and then raise funds in conjunction with the race. Members raise funds by setting up a “raising funds” webpage (a “giving page”), and then request donations from their email network. While CGC keeps the registration fee ($25 per member), 100% of the funds raised stay with the organization. All money raised for OCUA will be invested in the development of outreach programs like the Youth and Junior Spring FREE clinics.
