Rob Ives has moved away from responsible, possession oriented offense to full pew pew pew, with Worst Alessandro, Jessie, Justine and Keates rounding out the top of his roster.
Amos has drafted the least amount of hair and has maybe the most male pattern baldness in the league.
Kindha has broken up with her family, finally accepting that Parity is a ruthless cut throat business with no room for sentimentality.
Proulx has drafted at least one handler, a big change!
Boss is positioning herself to make trades so she can field an entirely Asian line. She may have to move Geofford, Krys or Craig to Kindha for Chow, which I think might be a tough sell, but who knows what sort of wheeling and dealing cap pressure will bring?
Kells traded up in Lees. Will he find more success with the #bestlee? Probablee.
Wildgen has drafted a mix of crafty players, possibly a reversal from his "youth and enthusiasm" strategy of session 1. Wily Wildgen looks like he's drafted with a plan.

And Owen drafted players based on a super secret spreadsheet that calculates all of our weaknesses with math (I guess).

Actually, he drafted his clone.
Steve Close, you better have your beard nice and thick this year.... The wrinkle to Owen's offensive scheme is to make people think he's in two places at the same time.

I'd like to bring attention to the one-beard policy. Please refrain from having official relations with Steve's beard.
Thank you.

I'm sorry Owen, I'm afraid I can't do that.
This is too great an opportunity to pass up.

Sully has been growing out
Sully has been growing out his poof for exactly this sort of occasion. After his annual shearing, he'll have lots of locks to donate to his less blessed teammates. It will be like the second session version of the Make Parity Great Again hat.

More Data?
Has anyone done an analysis of who drafted the "best" team based on session 1 stats? Seems like it would be easy to figure out the average salary for each new team. Might also be interesting to see if one team draft a lot of goal scorers vs. goal throwers vs. turnover machines, etc.

Analysis? No. Tarot card
Analysis? No. Tarot card reading? Yes. With no clue how to use or read such cards, I have been told that the top 4 teams currently belong to Jaime Boss, Rob Ives, Kindha, and Jamie Wildgen in that order.
Prediction for tonight's showcase game between Jaime and Kindha will go to Kindha as the winner. It snowed last night so Mike Lee will hurt something shoveling the driveway. Sam Lee continues to be the best, and smarter Lee.

I was curious, so I did just that
You can see my raw stats here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1izT9yCAZzpzWu3LlAayB8G9Vz86hhMl0...
I assigned league average numbers for each newcomer. Not particularly exact, but the best I could do given the circumstances. Here's what we have as far as rankings:
Salary by team:
1. Owen: $17.27M
2. Wildgen: $16.90M
3. Boss: $16.76M
4. Kindha: $16.29M
5. Proulx: $16.14M
6. Ives: $15.68M
7. Amos: $15.53M
8. Kells: $15.14M
And by team goals scored:
1. Kells: 264 goals
2. Proulx: 243 goals
3. Wildgen: 241 goals
4. Owen: 240 goals
5. Ives: 226 goals
6. Kindha: 224 goals
7. Amos: 175 goals
8. Boss: 164 goals
So...
Not that this is in any way scientific, but it's interesting nonetheless. Feel free to play with the sheet and draw more ridiculous conclusions.

Boss vs. Kells difference is
Boss vs. Kells difference is partially offset by the fact that Boss projects 247 assists, while Kells only projects 151.
It is safe to say Kells and co will see some regression in their G stat lines, while Boss' players can expect to see more Gs.
If you take each team's G + A / total salary, you can project value:
Ives - 33.7k / pt
Proulx - 35.4 / pt
Kindha - 35.6k / pt
Owen - 36.2k / pt
Kells - 36.5k / pt
Wilgen - 37.1k / pt
Amos - 38.4k / pt
Boss - 40.7k / pt

Someone should math...
Someone should math total projected touches. In my head, i have wild fantasies of Boss' team fighting over touches. Or touching the disc an incredibly large amount each point.

Math!
Like any good leader, I outsource the tasks I am not personally good at. Although I can’t outsource the act of playing ultimate, I did ask two consultants to “math” the draft for me. Based on their math bleep bloops, they ranked all the players from the first session. During the draft, I chose as many players from the first third of that list as possible.
We’ll see tonight if their math adds up.
“Adds up.” Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa. You’re welcome, Laura.

The Salary Inflection Point
This seems as good a place as any to post about an interesting observation I made during the draft.
For the first few rounds most of the picks were top salary players but then came the inflection point. I seem to recall around 3rd round something changed and all of the picks were coming from much further down the salary list. The percieved value of players seemed to diverged from their session 1 salary around this point at least in the context of the draft.
What does this mean? I'm not sure there is a lot at play here. Disucuss.
