Parity - Week 3 Highlights

Parity Callahan Streak: It continues! Chris Tran made a great read on a bail throw and macked it into the air, then laid out for a great second-effort catch to prevent his man from making a play on the disk. As John Madden would say, this happened in the end zone which is what makes it a Callahan.

Getting Expensive: Ashlin Kelly put up a 5G, 1A, 4AA, 5D game on her way to a $150,000 increase. What a week!

Most Goals: Ashlin Kelly, Melissa Jess, Andre Scott and Steve Chow tied for the week with 5.

The Triple Triple: 3G, 3A, 3D... Adam MacDonald and Steve Chow. Steve Bisang was short just 1 assist. Get it? Short? Haha, I'm killin' it!

D-efficient: Speaking of... for the 8 points he started on D, Steve Bisang was on for 6 goals for his own team. That's a good conversion rate.

Idle Hand: Ariel, who comes out to watch people play frisbee in a league he isn't registered for, week after week!

Tangled Shoelaces: Kindha Gorman fell down walking to a spot on the field. This was probably just layout practice, though, as a few moments later she made a great catch out of an awful throw to save posession (and eventually, the point).

Overly Thoughtful: Given too much time in the end zone, Al Colantonio decided to drop an easy huck for a point. He was probably caught up in his own head. Everyone on the sideline wondered, "What was he thinking?" I'm gonna guess, "Don't drop this!"

Is It Logarithmic?: Alex Bush, Week 1: 25,500. Week 2: $56,500. Week 3: $123,500. Is he on pace for ~$250,000 next week, and how did this sort of projection work out for that other guy?

How It Worked Out For That Other Guy: Marc Vachon did not put up $1,600,000 this week, despite projections.

Zipped Lip: Geofford Seaborn was too sick to walk, run, score, or chirp. Only the latter is truly surprising.

EDIT: Andre Scott also had 5 goals, which is a pretty awesome game when your team only scores 13.

I know it might be early in the season, but I think we should all be prepared to accept that Bush's pull last night was both Keates-esque and probably the worst pull this league will see all winter. Out the back, soaring over soccer players who thought it was a drone finally scouting them for their long-deserved shot at the World Cup.

That's the highlight?

Grim pickings indeed. We should all endeavour to throw up more ridiculous throws next week towards tryhards that'll run them down.

More "around the light pole" throws!

Come to think of it, Probe had a pretty sweet up line hammer that threatened to hit the roof before dropping perfectly into the corner of the end zone for a goal. Nice throw, jerk.

More hammers!

g.

more hammmers im on it!

Well I might be hiding the fact that I threw Chris Tran a callahan. I thought it an early Christmas gift.

Don't worry, the sideline noticed!

The streak continues!

You missed Andre Scott - also in the 5G club this week!

Andre's 5Gs were particulary impressive considering he was on for only 11 points for. When we scored with 'Dre on the field, it was, often as not, to him!

So is anybody going to bring a boombox to the field sometime soon and loop "It's All About the Benjamins" all night long? Because I think that's highlight worthy...

If only I hadn't Bisang'd that hammer TA to Will, and thrown a backhand, I might have made the triple club.

Highlights for me were 2 awesome foot blocks for the KODs

Al's was particularly Jedi, I don't think I've seen a no-look behind-the-back foot block before

I didn't realize I could get my mark going the wrong way and they would still be able to get their foot up. More importantly, how did he bend that way? I'm not sure that was human.

This here is the right answer.

Someone should photoshop a picture of Al onto Gandalf...oh wait...
