Hey everyone,
I have an idea for some parity league analysis which will require putting together a dataset where each point played is an observation. I imagine I'll have to sort it out from event logs or something. Those of you who have pulled data directly, rather than just working from the aggregated spreadsheets, what software are you using? I'm hoping I can figure out a solution in R so I don't have to do too much learning.

Define "database"?
Depending on what you want to look at you'll need to parse the event logs. I think Owen has a python script doing some of that, because he's a stats nerd.

yeah I think "parse the event
yeah I think "parse the event logs" is likely the phrase I'm looking for. Unless someone already has an organized dataset of O lines and D lines on every point, and who scored.
