Wednesday Carleton 2020-2021

Everyone's favourite league is back! Teams will be placed in skill-based divisions of 4 teams. Teams may move between divisions at the beginning of a new session.

A HAT LEAGUE division of 48 players will be offered as part of the Wednesday Carleton offering. Register as an individual below.

This 5v5 sub-on-the-fly is a popular indoor variant - it's great exercise, players get to touch the disc more often, and the game is fast-paced. At any time, players can sub on or off in their substitution zone while the game is in progress. Once a team scores, the other team puts the disc back into play immediately - the play never stops! Session 3+: February 17 - April 28, 2021 (hat league starts on Feb 24)

  • Membership: *REMINDER* all players will need an up-to-date OCUA Annual Membership to register or play in any league.
  • Skill Level: All skill levels
  • Rules: 5v5 sub-on-the-fly variant, see other special indoor rules here
  • Ratio: 3:2
  • Roster Size: min 8 / max 12 per team
  • Time: Games are scheduled between 7:30pm and 11:00pm
  • Game Length: 90 minutes
  • Format: 8 or 9 weeks round robin + 2 weeks of playoffs
  • Location: Games will be at the Carleton Fieldhouse
  • Reshuffle & Trades: Hat teams may be reshuffled between sessions. At the coordinator's discretion, individual entry players may be traded to maintain parity.

 A 50% deposit can be used to reserve your team's spot. The deposit follows the same refund policy and the outstanding balance must be paid 2 weeks prior to the start of the session.

Please note some of the new COVID safety measures:

  • OCUA will continue to monitor the covid-19 situation, adapt to evolving health guidelines, and cancel leagues if needed. Member safety is of the utmost concern. 
  • In addition to the provincial and municipal safety rules we follow, winter indoor leagues will include the following COVID guidelines in place:
  • the OCUA Safety Protocols
  • controlled entry and exit flow in the domes
  • enhanced dome cleaning procedures
  • mandatory masks worn entering and exiting the dome (off during play)
  • buffer times between divisions
  • All designed to provide safe and fun play over the entire winter indoor season
  • Detailed dome protocols with instructions will be shared prior to the start of your league.

Refund Policy

Cash refunds will be available to those that request the refund 2 weeks prior to the start date of the session ($25 ($50 for team) admin fee applies). From this deadline until the half way point of the session, prorated league credit refunds will be provided once a replacement player from the waitlist has paid for the spot. No refunds will be provided during the second half of any session.

* In the event OCUA must cancel leagues indefinitely. A prorated refund for the games missed will be issued back to the member via the form of payment.
