With the notable exception of the championship game (tune in for our final stream Monday at 7:30pm!), our first ever season of virtual Parity ultimate reached its thrilling conclusion on Thursday. Our simulated players left it all on the simulated field as they fought for the #3 through #10 placements. Who earned the dirty bronze? Who languished in the basement? Read on!

Game summaries
9th Place: Ratioxoxo (Kindha) (22) vs. Love Aggietually (MAnge) (18)
Marie-Ange’s no-good-very-bad season looked like it might end on a high note as her team shot out to a 5-0 lead over Kindha in the 9th place final. Upper management could already be seen loosening their ties in the team’s private box as star Cameron Kennedy threw his second pinpoint huck in the early going. Alas, that hope was short-lived as Team Kindha stormed back to tie the game 11-11 at halftime before embarking on a late 5-goal run to complete the comeback. Superstar Greg Ellis (3G, 3A) led the way for Kindha with support from Andrea Dietz (2G, 4A). Marie-Ange finally got a halfway decent performance out of overpaid veteran Hadrian Mertins-Kirkwood (1G, 6A), although he still found a way to throw 4 away. Kennedy capped his disappointing playoff performance with an additional 9 throwaways.
7th Place: Date Night: Neena Yo Biswas (Sully) (22) vs. When Cranky met Cara (Mehmet) (23)
The #1 seed coming into playoffs led 8-4 at the quarter hour mark but squandered that momentum as Team Mehmet dominated the second half to take a 21-16 lead late in the game. Team Sully showed their gumption in fighting back to make it close but in the end came up short against the #9 seed. Mehmet will be satisfied with the result, especially with the outstandings performances from the stalwart Heather Wallace (5G, 2A) and the occasionally brilliant Patrick Mapp (6G, 4A). Zach St. Amour (7G, 0A) ran amok in the end zone while Colin Scarffe (4G, 4A) did turns in the midfield, but Sully’s overreliance on his stars proved costly in the end.
5th Place: The First Cut is the Deepest (Julia) (24) vs. All the Single Bladies (Al) (20)
The third game of the night offered fans a third straight come-from-behind victory as Team Julia trailed by 4 at the half hour mark before the wheels came off Team Al and the difference was reversed in the second half. Parity rookie Jay Lymer (6G, 3A) delivered a statement game as he looks to secure a high draft position in the fall. Veteran handler Kelsey Charie (4G, 7A) did everything he could in the loss and may be looking for new contract options come summertime.
3rd Place: Reason to love Ottawa #40 (Nat) (17) vs. Be My Frisbae (Laura) (19)
Fans expecting crisp execution and breathtaking athleticism from two of the Parity’s top teams were left scratching their heads as Team Nat and Team Laura combined for 74 turnovers in a forgettable bronze medal match. Laura took a small lead early and never relented as she meandered her way to the win on the back of breakout star Mike O’Hare (4G, 3A). Charlotte Mussels (4G, 1A) put in another strong performance for Laura, but fell just shy of taking the overall goals leaderboard. Sina Dee (4G, 3A) played well in the loss. Analysts are asking questions about superstar Josee Guibord (0G, 2A) who appeared sluggish on the night. Could it be a ruptured algorithm?
