The Ottawa-Carleton Ultimate Association Announces New Executive Director.

 

Ottawa, Canada.  June 29, 2012.  The Ottawa-Carleton Ultimate Association (OCUA) today announced the appointment of Christiane Marceau to the position of Executive Director.  Ms. Marceau brings an ideal combination of sports management experience and passion for the Ultimate sport, its community and its values.  As part of the OCUA team, her mandate will be to execute the Board of Directors' ambitious strategic plan for Ultimate growth in the Ottawa-Carleton region.

Ms. Marceau has a superb track record in sports management. She was previously the Director of Operations at the Association d'Ultimate de Montreal (AUM), the largest Ultimate association in the province of Quebec.  Christiane also has a long career in the Ultimate community as a volunteer, player and advocate having traveled across North America forging relationships with many organizations in both Canada and the USA.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Montreal in Montreal, Quebec.

After climbing to over 5,000 players since its inception in 1986, OCUA is one of the largest Ultimate associations in the world. OCUA offers year round leagues to residents throughout the Ottawa-Careton region. In summer, OCUA teams play on city fields throughout the region, including at OCUA's own dedicated 19-field facility, Ultimate Parks Inc, in Manotick, Ontario. OCUA provides summer programs for all levels and caters to all communities, offering divisions for co-ed, women, men, U29, youth and juniors.
