Competitive Teams Policy

1. OCUA will commit to providing the following contributions to competitive programs or teams with a signed agreement:
• Practice fields: yearly, from May to August , up to 2 quality side-by-side practice fields twice a week for each of the programs, or 1 quality field twice a week per team. In the event of heavy winter damage that makes a significant number of fields unusable in the early season, OCUA may, in exceptional circumstances, be required to limit the field usage by any of the programs or streams to 1 quality field on any given night during this period.
• Web site visibility: greater promotion of the competitive programs and profiling of competitive players on the OCUA website.
• Facility booking: Booking of indoor/turf facilities for tryouts, with teams reimbursing the cost of these facilities to the Association.

2. OCUA will also attempt to provide the following contributions, as resources allow and as appropriate, to those competitive programs and teams with a signed agreement:
• Opportunity for revenue generation for the Competitive program through the organization/ facilitation of optional clinics- shared profit model
• Media outreach support: identification of story ideas along with preparation and publication of press releases.

3. All competitive programs or teams with a signed agreement will commit to providing :
• Coaching at OCUA organized skills clinics: Each team will provide its share of coaches at skills clinics. The schedule for these clinics will be proposed by mid April for feedback and consultation with the competitive teams.
• General volunteer support for Tournament Weekends- No Borders, Mixed Up, Playoffs (2 weekends : Each team will provide its share of volunteers for events. These volunteer activities will include the marketing, preparation, set-up and tear down in collaboration with the OCUA Tournament Cell and OCUA staff
• Identification of the team as part of the OCUA competitive program: OCUA logo on team jerseys, website and other promotional materials..

4. Optional areas for contributions from competitive programs or teams include:
• Coaching of youth and junior leagues – summer, fall and winter
• League Coaches (summer Friday night, winter coached programs)
• Participation in media events
