IID/IAD

The Intermediate division aims to offer an environment of learning and development for players hoping to improve their skills. At the same time, the league aims to provide the highest level of play possible. The IID league will consist of 6 teams. IID may hold one or two ‘practice’ weeks (details to follow).

The Advanced division aims to simultaneously combine an environment of learning and development while trying to achieve the highest level of competition possible. Players who are receptive to improving their game and/or teaching less experienced players are encouraged to apply. Playing on a touring team, or aspiring to do so, is not a prerequisite to playing in IAD. The league will consist of 6 teams.

When and Where are the Games?

The leagues will operate in 2 separate locations alternating weekly. The 2 locations will be Ben Franklin Place Dome and Gloucester Superdome Sports Center.
Games will run between the hours of 7 pm - 11 pm and be 80 minutes long.

The season will last for 20 weeks, including playoffs . The leagues will start November 3, 2011 and will end March 29, 2012. There will be no sessions on December 22 and December 29, 2011. Please note that there will also be two dedicated mid-season shuffles between IAD and IID both ending no later than the Christmas break.

How do I get in?

In an effort to offer a more level playing field for all applicants, we will be holding three scrimmage/evaluation sessions on Tuesday, October 11 and Monday, October 17 as noted in the timeline below. One session is for IID evaluations and the other 2 sessions are for IAD evaluations. An evaluation fee of $5 will be required to be paid at the field on the night of your evaluation. These sessions will be used as an opportunity for players to showcase their skills and abilities. Only players whose spot in the league are guaranteed will not be asked to come to an evaluation session. As such, the majority of applicants should expect that they will be asked to participate. If you are not asked to come out but wish to anyway, please provide us ample time to allow us to do our best to accommodate you. It is mandatory to attend these evaluation sessions. If you are asked to attend and fail to do so you will not be considered for the league. We will inform you by Thursday, October 6th if you are requested to attend an evaluation session.

Couples Registration

Regarding couple registration: you are allowed to register as a couple, and if you are both accepted into the league we will put you on the same team. However, we reserve the right to accept only one member of any given couple if we feel that this is in the best interest of the league for which you are applying. If your preference is to play together, then there are several other indoor options available through OCUA.
