Please note the below proposed change in the Board of Directors Policy Manual. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact secretary@ocua.ca
8.2 Team and Individual Fee Pricing Policy (Draft changes in red)
1. The Association is required to set fees for a specific season no less than 7 days in advance of the opening of registration for the season in question (e.g., if registration opens 60 days before the season itself begins, the fees must be advertised 67 days in advance of the season beginning). These fees are to be advertised on both the Association website as well as the Ultimate Happenings email broadcast list by this time.
2. Fee increases are to be made independently on a seasonal basis. Operating expenses increases in a specific season (e.g. field rentals) should be attributed to any fee increases in that specific season.
3. Fee increases should be considered on annual basis in order to offset increases in costs that the Association must bear while ensuring that the Association provides predictable fees to its members.
4. Should the Association have a budget surplus equal to or greater than the reserve required by the Contingency Reserve Policy as it leaves a calendar year, and the Association does not forecast any increase in required operating expenses, the Association shall not increase fees.
