Community Sports Day

OCUA is looking for volunteers to help out with the event below.

July 19th - Celebrate Nepean’s sporting heritage and active living with this new event at the museum! Check out the diversity of games enjoyed by local residents (and maybe one or two you’ve never played before!) with our sports demonstrations. A friendly 3-on-3 basketball tournament will help you reconnect with or get to know your neighbours and our “meet and greet” with local athletes will surely inspire your little ones. We’re installing new artefact displays, too, to help put all the pieces of Nepean’s athletic heritage together.

Nepean Museum is located on Rowley Ave. off Meadowlands between Woodroffe Ave. and Merivale Rd.

OCUA will host an information booth from 9:30am to 4pm. We need 2-3 volunteers all day, but shift will be broken down as follow: 9:30am-1pm, and 1pm-4pm. OCUA will also host an introduction clinic from 1-2pm at Doug Frobel park. We need as many volunteers as possible for that clinic (max.12). Sign up quickly.
