May as well get this started... my first prediction is that Parity league is what causes the site to shut down when Winter registration opens. That is all.
After last night's mad rush to register... I wonder if we can get a list from OCUA for who managed to register in what order. I want to know at least who won the refresh war.
No I'm obviously going to show up for one week, try to hit 300k and then ride that 'average' out for 4 weeks while I'm away so I come back near 2 million :D
If you're referring to yourself as the biggest draft bust Geofford... we know your game. You help move the disc on O and shut down on D... which is little money. Makes you potentially best value per dollar in the league.
Amos and Chow together on one team, straignt out of the draft. Definitely some dangerous drivers on the GM squad, sleeping at the wheel. Tsk! Tsk! And they let Sina pull off this coup?? The first trade window will be veeeery interesting.
Khalid, who ended up being a standout on Shrike all year and showed well at Nats against very good teams (think, Furious) is arguably worse to deal with. And it turns out that an unknown girl in the draft went much later than she should have, because she is actually a Queens player who was crushin' it at CUUC.
While Sina my have "won" the draft, the real winners will be teams that buit a core group of players that can survive the upcoming craziness of roster turnover. So assuming each team will be able to keep their core together (this is a big assumption since GMs have less power this year), I think the real winners of the draft are the teams with leadery/coachy type players like Justine, Sullivan, Megan-Rob combo, Geofford etc... (assuming their captains are smart enough to listen to them).
I, unfortunately, am not playing Parity and have elected to play Thursday Comp instead so please keep me informed of all the latest Parity noncense here or on the Face Book.
I could potentially give up a Steve Chow for a player who lives in centretown and has a car to drive me to games. Skill optional. My mad trade strategies begin and its not even playoff time.
Also I'm disappointed that Seb won't be returning with his masterful "attract a matchup I can abuse" strategy. Guess Bush will have to carry that torch ;)
Given that there will (hypothetically) be fewer emails to send between GMs this year, members of Kindha's Ongoing Disappointments have been stepping up their intra-team smack talk. There have been thirteen emails so far; most have been trying to determine who is the elder statesman cutter in need of being uncovered in the play I drew up.

SACK line
Somehow Sina was able to draft Amos, Chow, and Khalid. This SACK line will score all the goals and get all the D's.
The other GM's were honestly asleep at the switch on that one.
