Let's go, GMs, spill it.
Who's the team to beat? Who was woefully unprepared for the draft? And who is gonna blaze out of the gates and be forced to trade off all their high-salaried allstars by week 4, just to be crumpled in the playoffs?
ps. Would've been swell to see the first few rounds live tweeted again. Note for the future?

A Draft Night Retrospective : Snapshots
One GM lamented "I don't know any of the guys!" Presumably this GM moves in more rarified frisbee circles than the men on display in Parity.
Another GM insisted they weren't actually worth a first round pick and should totally get to pick one of the better players in the league instead of themselves. This was a sincere suggestion and not gamesmanship.
One GM selected a player based solely on their benchpress total.
One GM selected a player based solely on their height.
One GM selected a player based solely on the headshot they provided to the league.
One GM selected a player based solely on their being the next best thing to Lumley.
One GM selected the coordinator, who then said "Crap, I was hoping to play for someone else."
Wowchuk being drafted led to 9 simultaneous "WOWZERS!" puns.
Derek Tokarski's draft call was "Two Cars in the Garage-ski".
There appears to be a relatively even distribution of gingers.
It looks to me like there are 5 couples kept together and 4 couples torn apart by the draft, which is a ratio I think unlikely to last.
Al can field a line that is over 140 years old... with only 3 players on it.
My team has the worst taste in beer (Barford and Perry have both brought absolute swill to parties) which is going to be a problem for the beer purists on my roster (my team is the most German).
Hadrian's hair quadruples the average male hair length on his team.
Nobody was drafted using the "dart thrown at a wall of faces" technique.

Ginger distribution
Is there a scale of gingerness?
Or is it a pure value of 1 ?
What if only someones beard is red does it count?
So many burning questions.

Bold Predictions
At some point I believe you will be traded for by a teacher who is confident in your ability to learn and develop and grow. By the end of it I expect you to be approximately the same frisbee player, and still have the same general disregard for spelling, grammar and punctuation.

New Generation
At a glance, it looks like there are a lot of new players in the league this year. Welcome all!
Stat gurus: how much turnover was there from last year? How does that compare to previous years? I would suspect that as demand for the league grows the turnover rate also increases because returning players have a harder time getting a spot.

I think there were only a handful of times I had to go to my falsetto "[name of player other GM selected]?! Interesting." or "Hmmmmm".
Dozens is a handful, right?

Dozens.
A dozen peanuts is a handful. A dozen eggs is not.
Were they peanuts or eggs?

I vaguely remember referring to someone as "an empty bag of pucks".
edit: I should have just quoted this thread, down to Justine's incendiary finisher.

Just wondering...
I'm not sure if this information is confidential, but I was wondering how much Amos had to pay to ensure I wouldn't be on his team this year?

Also why I didn't play Iron Crow this summer...
Good luck to the poor GM that picked him up. Probably forced last pick.

Who's keeping ill advised throws cool still? Al, Fred, Pindur or Keates?

Not even close.
Mehmet and Jessie with 8 and 7 respectively. Mehmet did it on only 26 attempts!
One game isn't up in the stats yet, so there may be a dark horse in the running, but at the moment it seems as if these two GM's take their responsibility to lead from the front very seriously.
