Episode 201.
Keates and I talk about Parity and make predictions ahead of week 1.
It's not the best, but neither are we. Audio levels didn't normalize as I expected and sound in the prediction segment was a little cracky for unknown reasons.
Can't wait to get this season going!

ALTERNATIVE PARITY PODCAST
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8Vh31sZhAO6VmN3TVVncU1lRlU/view?usp=sh...
A lot of people have commented that it's odd for a league the size of Parity to have only one Podcast. So without further ado, here is the Alternative I Party Podcast (also known as The Rebuttle).
The ball's in your court Geofford.

You guys are my heroes.
You guys are my heroes. [But then, you knew that.]
This is exaclty what Parity needs to start off on the right foot.
However:
Nice recap of Keates' slag of Theriault. #unoriginal
Also, slagging injured AUDL players is a well-worn podcast path. #beenthere
I think you'll need to spend a little more time at IKEA next week thinking the next one through. #ihopethereisanextweek

hands down wieners...Justine and Sully.
Only I have the true #gregspike inside scoop. You all are going to be disappointed game 1 . I do however agree the midfield will be lonely in this game, but I aim to please...
Also happy to have the Colantonio/Robinson award go to a very well deserving candidate. Hats off to the #1 pick.

Podcast battles might actually be peak Parity chirping. Full marks all around, bravo!

The best thing about Parity chirping is there is no Everest.
There will always be a taller mountain to climb, should one have the guts and the stamina.

I didn't realize it until today...
...but rival parity podcasts truly are what we have all been waiting for. May this clash of the oratorical titans never cease to amuse and amaze.

I am so excited that to rival
I am so excited that to rival Geofford's Vermont Public Radio, Justine and Sully channelled their inner CKDJ 107.9. There's something decidedly punk rock about aiming to emulate Ottawa's third or fourth* best college radio station.
*Does St. Paul's have a dedicated broadcast?

No such thing as bad publicity?
I too welcome competition in the somewat niche market of parity podcasts. Can't quite determine if it's worse to be picked to lose (possibly accurate, opening night of parity is classically high variance) as a team or to be compared as an individual to furniture so common that the owners can't determine why they haven't gotten rid of it yet while moving it to the basement.

new leader?
And who would have guessed that both Nick Theriault and Al's turnovers, didn't even add up to mine. Toss in Craig Anderson and the math adds up to Mehmet. Thank you Mehmet for setting the bar so high with 8 turns, so I didn't feel so bad about myself ;)

Learning styles
The first night of parity is an excellent teaching opportunity for GMs and its important to be aware that many people are visual learners. How better to demonstrate what not to do but by repeatedly throwing the disc away in such a visible manner, in particular late in the game with the bonus audience from the other field? It's quite useful to have set such a high bar in the first game that I'll never (shudder, hopefully never?) meet again.
