Woo, it has been a pretty interesting pair off weeks that's resulted in quite a shift in several teams..
Frankly, I'm not even sure where to start. I am becoming more familiar with members of the league, but there are still plenty of faces and styles that I'm unfamiliar with. So I'd typically leave this sort of discussion to Keates or one of the podcasters to discuss the ramifications to each team. Instead, I believe I hear crickets chirping.
So let's take a look at the trades and wait for Bush to do the full mathematical analysis later on.
Stack Overflow
Also known as "Team Stick It Out". You had no moving parts at the end of week 4. You are content to be in the middle of the pack. Yes, I did notice that Ben curran was swapped for Michael Colantonio, but that occurred in week three, and does not count.
The Sticklers
Another team that was content with their roster this week. They rank only slightly higher than Stack, and only because their trade in week 3 was for Celine Dumais, one of the few women to be traded recently.
2, 4, 6, 8
Cassie sent Newman and Richard Gregory packing, bringing in Martin Cloake and Greg Probe to replace them. Martin will be a great target for Hunt and Probe to throw at. Fred is going to have to step up his endzone game though, as Martin and Cassie can't be responsible for all the points. Cassie will miss Newman D blocks though.
Rudderless Pirates
Travis saw the writing on the wall and gave up his day job to spend a week trying to figure out some way to salvage the majority of his team. Eventually he gave up. Most of his trades happened in week 3 though, so they don't count. He still had salary to shed though, and has taken in Will Reid and Trevor Stocking to shore up his bottom line. Not that I'd discount either of them, as they both enjoy running and often get overlooked. Nick Amlin and Speedy Edwin Wong were sent packing.
Huck and Hope.
Poor Keates. Carrie-Anne forced his hand this week, picking his top player to be traded away after she won the Bounty. Still, Keates managed to pull off a decent return. All round awesome (So I'm told. They don't let me mark him) Lance Blackstock was joined by Michael Wong on the outbound, but Hadrian and Giulian were brought in as replacements. Frankly, while Keates might miss Lance, Hadrian has a definite smoothness about his play and shouldn't have any problem fitting in here. Giulian knows his way around the end zone, so scoring still won't be an issue for this team.
Menace
Mehmet decided he didn't like his team at all. (You're still a great guy though). He got rid of Hadrian, Will Reid, Giulian and me this week. As replacements, he thinks he can do better with Stephen Close, David "Train" Townsend, Michael Wong and Richard Gregory. Frankly, he's probably right.
Fight Club
Sully willing gave up Close and Townsend in order to gain Lance and Nick Amlin. This is probably one of the most interesting trades. I'd suggest that this worked financially because Close is currently undervalued. If only he'd stop throwing it away. Still, someone had to take Lance off of Keates hands. I only with some people would get their podcasts up and running so we could get some appropriate heckling on this one.
Save Khinda.
ah, Jessie. Is there anyone you want to play more than one game with? There are only five original players left on your team. Can you trade them all before the end of the season? In addition to a multitude of week 3 trades bringing Wildgen, Thomson and Ranger on board, you continued to shake things up by adding Edwin Wong, Tom Newman and myself to your roster at the end of the week. You gave up Martin, Probe, Stocki, Barford, Briggs and Sunde. It'll be an interesting week to see how these trades pan out for you. Good luck.

The baton has been taken up
Bravo, sir, bravo. Into the parity void of posts and podcasts steps Matthew "Mostly Useful Once Again" Schijns! We do indeed have an app with sound effects now and are currently using "applause".

What it takes
This may not have been the recap or pod cast we wanted, but it is the recap we needed, from the silent observer, a watchful analyst, a dark knight

It's been good playing with
It's been good playing with you Matt, but you may be traded before the end of tonight's game.
Of Save Khinda's five original players, at least one of them was traded for for the first game, so there may only be four of us left to trade.

New Record?
An exciting week in Parityland! Has there ever been a busier week for trades? Looking forward to seeing how all the shake-ups pan out.
