Parity Party and season wrap up

Well, it's all over now. Even the crying.

Thanks to Keates for putting on another stellar slideshow, with photos (stalked on FB), statistics, statistics on statistics, and witty reparteee.

Thanks to the GMs, Kevin, Rob, Kenzie and the wonderul Alison Ward for all the time devoted to making Parity another season of banter, fantasy dollars and play. While the GM Slack forum may have pushed some of the banter onto the other platform, there was still a thread of banter on the Forum which was top quality when it was there, so thanks to anyone who posted. If we had a "like" button, it may have generated more contributions. Geofford's last two podcasts were the best yet, with the possible exception of Hadrian's live finals coverage a couple of years ago.

Post script: During finals, Sul brought out a scoreboard and awarded points for "Wow!" moments, and deducted points for "OMG!" moments with the crowdsourced $70 no one remembers from an iParity podcast spearheaded by Keates. Both teams started with 50. Sul gave up with the points partway through due to the domination of Charmed. There were some key deductions though: 10 points were deducted when Mikey D (Mr. Insufferable) called a time out during a point, when they were already up 12-1, "...because I'm tired." Boo! At the end of the game Brian's team was up 78-74, Sul deducted 70 points from Cassie's team for being "too good", so Brian's team won. They have decided to donate the $70 to the ultimate frisbee-led initiative E.R.I.C. http://earlyrecognitioniscritical.org/

While the championship was not theirs, the moral victory was.
