No I don't have a good joke, but I am very curious about who the ladies drafted. 

Who will I be calling boss for the first two games until being traded? 

How many new nicknames should we come up with for 30% of the GMs in the league represented by Kat*?

If only in past drafts when I was a GM I could have demonstrated such same name preferences, alas!

I'll refrain from comments on my own team - pleased the odds were enough in my favour to end up with Kat-STAR as my GM.  Happy to see many new people in the league, including some returning to Ottawa I hadn't seen on grass this past summer.

My initial subjective thought is that Kindha, Ms. Cavalavalamp, and Jessie all either had good fortune or good choices or both to end up with the teams they did.  Evaluation of other teams depends a lot on players I don't know - and as we all know games are played on the field, not paper. Look forward to game 1 to demonstrate what the theoretical benefits of skipping fall league can be:

  • hopefully injury healing
  • undoubtedly cardio detrimental

The annual "WTF! how-did-this-team-get-drafted" Award went to Cassie last year when she landed Lance AND Hadrian and Co. This year it clearly goes to Jessie, who must've been thankful she was wearing her Knixwear when she managed to draft the two top money earners from last year's Parity onto her team, the Bandito Perry and the Dread Pirate Davidson. I have a clear image of her eyes getting bigger as the first and second round tick around and she snagged both of these buccaneers somehow. Amazing!! Arrr, mateys!

If Brian and Travis weren't enough, she also landed the tallest man alive / perennial top goal scorer Martin plus 2017 Season 1 finals MVP Kristie. The big question will be whether that group can keep the pew pews in their pants long enough to not all get traded away.

Some how no one knew of any pirates at the draft, so all GMs walked the plank as I drafted Travis with his new strong pegged leg. With that, the bromance was completed with a rose. Xo
