2025 Junior Open Tryouts (U19 Ignite, Scorch, Blaze, and U16 Fuel)

We invite any and all junior-aged open players interested in competitive Ultimate to tryout for OJCUP for the 2025 season. $65 pays for tryouts. Registration closes Monday, February 24th to allow coaches adequate time to assign players to tryout fields. 

Please note: If the number of registrations exceeds capacity we may have to close registration before February 24th. Please register right away to avoid disappointment.

The first two tryouts will be open to everyone who registers. There will be two time slots for each of the first two open tryouts. Coaches from multiple teams will be available to assess players on each of the (4) tryouts fields. Players will be notified before each tryout which time slot they are to attend. Attendance at both the first tryouts is highly recommended.

  • Tryout #1: Sunday, March 2nd, 5:00–7:00pm, 7:00-9:00pm Orleans Dome
  • Tryout #2: Monday, March 17th, 6:00–7:30pm or 7:30–9:00pm Gloucester Superdome
    • (players will be notified which time slot to attend)
  • After the second tryout, each of the four open teams will hold invitational tryouts. Players who are being considered for each team will be invited to attend invitational tryouts. Some players will be invited to attend one or more invitational tryouts. Due to the high number of player registrations expected, unfortunately, not all players will be invited to attend an invitational tryout.

Invitational Tryouts 

  • Ignite Tryout: Wednesday, March 19th, 8:30–10:30pm, Orleans Dome (by invitation)
  • Scorch Tryout: Sunday, March 23rd, 5:00–7:00pm, Orleans Dome (by invitation)
  • Blaze Tryout: Wednesday, March 26th, 8:30–10:30pm, Orleans Dome (by invitation)
  • Fuel Tryout: Sunday, March 30th, 5:00–7:00pm, Orleans Dome (by invitation)

We will do our best to notify players who attend invitational tryouts within 24 hours whether they are being offered a spot on the team or not. Players not offered a spot on the team may be invited to the invitational tryout for the next team, so they should be prepared to attend more than one.
